The Russian foreign Ministry: attempts to aggravate the situation in Russia with the help of the IG possible

MOSCOW, November 20. The Russian security services have serious approach to mastering sounding from terrorists to the country threats. About this stated the head of the Department of foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation on the issues of new challenges and threats Ilya Rogachev in an interview with the newspaper “Kommersant”.

“All threats to Russia’s security are practiced with seriousness and professionalism, – assured the diplomat. – I want to remind you that the practical experience of combating international terrorism in the North Caucasus is the only successful example of this kind. Was not yet and as successful experience of de-radicalization of the population”. “For all it’s worth to Express its appreciation to the Russian secret services, law enforcement, everyone who put a barrier to the terrorist threat “military scale”, as we say in the South of our country”, said Rogachev.

“Today it is possible to predict the resumption of the attempts to aggravate the situation in Russia now with the help of the IG, he said. – As repeatedly stated by the leaders of the country, the operation of the aerospace defence forces of Russia in Syria seeks to contain the threat on the distant approaches”.

About the attacks of the Western coalition

According to Rogachev, Russia raise questions the motives of the Western coalition in attacks on oil infrastructure in the regions of Syria and Iraq under the control of the IG.

“For more than a year of bombing by the US led coalition did not cause it (the oil infrastructure of the IG – ed.) almost no damage, he said. Was made almost 8 thousand sorties, almost a quarter of the planes had returned, not out of ammunition, we have not found any targets to attack. Nevertheless, fields continued to give the terrorists of the IG their oil, built new, albeit makeshift plant for processing of oil, thousands of trucks, tanks drove back and forth across the region”.

Regarding French air strikes on oil infrastructure of the areas under the control of the IG Rogachev suggested that “the French partners come from the inevitable successful offensive of the Syrian army and the imminent return of the oil regions, oil production capacity under the control of the Syrian government”. “Because Assad and ISIS are the same priority adversaries, such attacks they cause damage both at the same time, he said. – Note, the French did not bomb similar targets in Iraq”.

The diplomat added that the ambiguity of the situation pay attention to and Western experts. “Perhaps reacting to comments own political observers, “caught” the Americans and inflicted the same blow to the oil industry in Iraq, he continued. But it is impossible not to notice that even to this coalition forced a decisive and effective actions of the Russian aerospace defence forces”.

“Their background is involuntarily the question arose: did the coalition a goal to inflict a military defeat of ISIS?” asked Rogachev.

IG produces 40-50 thousand barrels of oil per day

“Islamic state” produces 40-50 thousand barrels of oil per day, said Ilya Rogachev.

“A year ago, experts talked about what IG has produced 30 thousand barrels per day, now we are talking about 40-50 thousand barrels, – the diplomat noted. – The UN security Council resolution 2199 recognized that the illicit oil trade is the main source of income of the IG, and ordered all States to work against it in the strongest terms”.

Rogachev also drew attention to the fact that IG have been “grown” militants, and at least “lost territory”.
