Russia’s permanent representative at NATO: Ankara forced the Alliance to justify the incident with su-24


BRUSSELS, 24 November. /Corr. Denis Dubrovin/. Ankara, having covered the allied solidarity, has forced the Alliance to justify the incident with the destruction of the Russian su-24. This was stated by Russia’s permanent representative at NATO Alexander Grushko, commenting on the results of the NATO Council, convened today at the initiative of Turkey in connection with the incident with the Russian plane.

“In fact, Ankara has succeeded – having covered the notorious allied solidarity, has forced the Alliance to justify their illegal actions that not only undermine the common efforts in the fight against the ISIL (the former name of the terrorist organization “Islamic state” (IG), is prohibited in the Russian Federation) but also created risks to the security of countries connected with Turkey by the allied obligations”, – said the permanent representative.
