The first in Russia children’s technology Park opens in Tatarstan


KAZAN, 25 Nov. Irina Durnitsyna. Russia’s first children’s Park “Quantonium” opens on Wednesday in Naberezhnye Chelny on the basis of Technopark in sphere of high technologies “it-Park” in the framework of the national technology initiative, according to the Ministry of education and science of Tatarstan.

Tatarstan was among the three pilot regions in Russia to launch the project. The project was implemented with the support of President of Tatarstan, the Republican ministries of education and science, information and communication pursuant to the agreement signed with the Agency for strategic initiatives. Similar children’s parks will soon open in Khanty-Mansi Autonomous district and the Altai region.

“In the 2015-2016 school year in the children’s Park “Quantonium” plan to teach 420 children in all different areas of design and programming manned vehicles, small unmanned aircraft, the formation of practical skills in neurosurgery, neurobiology, laser technology and other areas”, — stated in the message.

According to the Ministry, in the children’s Park we plan to work with teachers who have been trained on the program of the Agency for strategic initiatives in Moscow.

To get into the “Quantonium” can pupils with 5 on 11 classes on terms of competitive selection. It will pass under the new rules identify gifted children through the Olympic games and competitions from the list of the Ministry of education and science of the Russian Federation approved by the Russian government.

“Quantonium” is intended to become a new model of the system of scientific-technical creativity of youth, educational and creative space in which conditions will be created for potential students who have a tendency to engineering work and research.
