Ankara considers it premature to talk about termination of gas supplies of the Russian Federation

All the talk of possible termination of Russian gas supplies to Turkey are premature and do not reflect the real situation, said Deputy Prime Minister of Turkey, Numan Kurtulmus.

ANKARA, 26 Nov. The Turkish authorities considered it premature to talk about the possible termination of Russian gas supplies to Turkey after the incident with the Russian su-24 bomber, said Deputy Prime Minister of Turkey, Numan Kurtulmus.

“All the talk about premature and do not reflect the real situation,” he said in an interview with radio Sputnik, answering the question about the possibility of termination of deliveries of the Russian gas to Turkey.

“Severance of economic relations contrary to the interests of both Turkey and Russia. Neither Russia nor Turkey will not make any steps that would impede the flow of Russian gas to the European market via Turkey, given how large and important natural gas supplier is Russia. I am convinced that tensions in our relations can be resolved without the use of economic sanctions, as it does not meet the long-term interests of both countries,” said Turkish Deputy Prime Minister.
