Sergey Naryshkin expressed confidence that the CSTO PA member States will effectively continue as it had happened before.
ST. PETERSBURG, 26 Nov. State Duma speaker Sergei Naryshkin re-elected as Chairman of the parliamentary Assembly of the Organization of collective security Treaty (CSTO PA), the decision was made at the eighth plenary meeting of the Assembly in St. Petersburg.
The Chairman of the CSTO PA is elected for a term of three years. Naryshkin held a post of the speaker of the parliamentary Assembly since may 2012.
“I see my job as Chairman of the Assembly as a significant part of his professional and political activities. I am proud that we have managed to make the voice heard of the parliamentary Assembly, the parliamentary Assembly and its activities are an essential element of the movement, cohesion of our countries and peoples, above all, on questions and issues to ensure our common and collective security for peace”, — Naryshkin said, thanking his colleagues for the confidence.
He expressed confidence that the CSTO PA member States will effectively continue as it had happened before.
In St. Petersburg held activities of the CSTO PA and the Interparliamentary Assembly of the Commonwealth of independent States (IPA CIS), attended by Russian MPs.
