MOSCOW, November 26. The Federal road Agency has denied the information on possible introduction of a temporary moratorium on current rates in the system of charging heavy vehicles through the system “Platon”, said the Minister.

Previously, the newspaper “Vedomosti” with reference to its sources reported that the topic of a moratorium was discussed at the meeting in the Airport with business representatives.

“On the eve of the Federal road Agency had indeed held a meeting with major retailers and transport companies. Any agreement on a certain moratorium or suspension of payments in system “Platon” was not reached”, – said in the press release of the Federal road Agency.

It notes that during discussion of the problems encountered in the early start of tolling system, it was decided to establish a working group, composed of representatives of carriers, the transport Ministry, Rosavtodor, company “RT-invest the Transport system” (system operator “Plato”). The working group will discuss issues as the operation of the system to improve it and make it more convenient for users.

It is noted that the system was put into full operation and is operating normally. “Have made all the necessary steps to meet customers. As of November 26, the Federal road Fund has received more than 470 million rubles”, – underlined in the message of Department.

System “Platon”, providing the toll for heavy vehicles with a permissible maximum weight exceeding 12 t for travel on Federal highways is available from 15th November. Until March 1, 2016, trucks to pay 1,53 Euro for every kilometer, in the future, the rate will increase. The funds collected by the vehicle, proceed to the Federal road Fund will be allocated as grants on the Federal and regional road projects, including those that are implemented on the PPP principles.

According to Rosavtodor, in the “Plato” registered more than 70 thousand of transport companies and entrepreneurs with a total fleet size of more than 600 thousand cars (60% of vehicles weighing over 12 tonnes operating in the market of automobile cargo transportation).
