MOSCOW, November 26. All relevant requirements of Russian agricultural products from Turkey will be admitted to Russia. This was reported in the Rosselkhoznadzor, commenting on behalf of the government of Russia to strengthen control over food supplies from Turkey.

“If the products will meet phytosanitary and veterinary requirements of Russia, it will be accepted for further implementation on the territory of the country”, – said the press-Secretary of Rosselkhoznadzor Julia in a few words.
Today the Rosselkhoznadzor according to instruction of the Minister of agriculture has started a total inspection of all imported to Russia of agricultural products from the territory of Turkey, said in a few words. She recalled that the validation of products from Turkey Agency led before. “But now, under the direction of senior management, Turkish products will be given special attention,” she said. Documentary and laboratory verification will be subject to all the products of vegetable and animal origin. Previously, the Agency conducted spot checks of products.

In the case that the Rosselkhoznadzor has no complaints about the quality of Turkish production, it will be imported to Russia, said the representative office.
As reported on Thursday, the Minister of agriculture and food Alexander Tkachev, the Russian government requested the Rosselkhoznadzor to put on the enhanced control of the supply of agricultural products and food from Turkey. Besides, the Rosselkhoznadzor has to organize additional checks at the border and directly in the field of production in Turkey. These measures are introduced in connection with repeated violations of Turkish producers in the Russian standards. According to the agriculture Ministry, on average, 15% of Turkish agricultural products do not meet Russian safety standards of products.
