An extraordinary session of the state Duma Committee on defence will take place on November 25 in connection with the downed Turkish military aircraft Russian military aircraft su-24, said the first Deputy Chairman of the Committee on defense Sergei Zhigarev.
MOSCOW, 25 Nov. The state Duma Committee on defence on Wednesday will hold an extraordinary meeting in connection with the downed Turkish military aircraft Russian military aircraft su-24, said the first Deputy Chairman of the Committee on defense Sergei Zhigarev (LDPR).
“Yes, today will be a meeting of the Committee”, — said the first Deputy Chairman of the Committee.
On the question of whether the meeting with the crash of the Russian aircraft in Syria, he replied in the affirmative.
In a press-service of the Duma Committee on defence confirmed the information about the upcoming meeting, adding that it is expected the participation of representatives of the General staff of the defense Ministry.
On Tuesday the Russian su-24 aircraft crashed in Syria. The President of Russia Vladimir Putin announced that the plane was shot down by a rocket type “air-air” with a Turkish F-16 aircraft and fell to the Syrian territory four kilometers from the border with Turkey. The Russian foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov said that the growing threat of terrorism from Turkey, no less than from Egypt, that is why the Russians advised not to visit Turkey in the near future.
