MOSCOW, Nov 27. Funds allocated to officials at the coverage in the media, must be spent transparently, through an auction, said the President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin at a meeting with activists of the popular front.
“The authorities and management should not engage in self-PR, but they should inform the public about what is being done, it’s perfectly obvious, and is a service that is purchased by the authority. If money is spent on goods and services, they must be spent in a transparent manner. The most transparent way is the auction… let us think in this direction. I don’t see any difficulties for the organization of such events”, — Putin said in response to the request of the activist of the popular front to deal with the laudatory media coverage that may buy officials.
“It’s either municipal or state money… in order to place them to get appropriate service on coverage of activity — in this case, the authority… all such spending in principle, must be spent transparently, therefore the competition rather on the auction… Let us work together in this direction will find a solution,” he said.
