MOSCOW, November 27. The decision to suspend the visa-free regime with Turkey is one of the compulsory measures in the fight against international terrorism. This opinion was expressed by first Deputy Chairman of state Duma Committee on international Affairs Leonid Kalashnikov (CPRF).

First Deputy Chairman of state Duma Committee on nationalities Mikhail Starshinov also supported the decision to suspend the visa-free regime with Turkey.
“Is it mutual or not, does not depend on Russia, and from Turkey,” he said. As for how long will this situation, then, according to the Deputy, it “will continue as long as there is a terrorist threat, due to which these measures were adopted”. “Perhaps we can talk about a wider range of issues that need to be addressed, concerning both the bilateral relations and security,” added the elders.
Russia suspends visa-free regime with Turkey

In 1990-2000s for the citizens of Russia at trips to Turkey operated a simplified procedure of entry into the country: visas can be purchased at the border. At the same time, Turkish citizens were required to obtain a visa in advance, in the Russian embassies.
