The Russian Federation advocates the establishment of a zone of economic cooperation from the Atlantic to the Pacific


BRUSSELS, 30 November. /Corr. Asya Harutyunyan/. Russia advocates the establishment of a zone of economic and humanitarian cooperation from the Atlantic to the Pacific. About this reads the statement of Russian foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov to the participants and organizers of the annual European Russian forum, which opened in the European Parliament in Brussels.

Chizhov: the Russian Federation is not asking and begging the EU to lift sanctions against the country

“Continue to advocate the formation in the long term, stretching from the Atlantic to the Pacific zone of economic and humanitarian cooperation, based on the architecture of equal and indivisible security”, – stated in the text that was read out by Russia’s permanent representative to the EU Vladimir Chizhov.

According to the Minister, Russia is interested “in the development of constructive interaction on the principles of equality and accounting of mutual interests with all those who show an oncoming willingness, including with European partners”.

The negative trend in bilateral relations between the EU and Russia

The European Union and Russia can reverse the negative trend in bilateral relations, the letter States.

“Relations between Russia and the EU is experiencing not the best times. In his address the Minister pointed out that to combat terrorism we must abandon attempts to create new dividing lines.

“Numerous challenges and threats, primarily an unprecedented upsurge of international terrorism, require a conjugation of efforts on a solid basis of international rights. Of course, it is necessary to abandon the vicious logic of unilateral actions and attempts to create new dividing lines”, – stated in the text that was read out by Russia’s permanent representative to the EU Vladimir Chizhov.

“ISLAMIC STATE”

“Islamic state” (ISIS) – an Islamist terrorist organization operating inside Iraq and Syria. Established on 15 October 2006 by the merger of 11 radical Sunni groups. The core group forming the militants, who fought with American troops during their stay in Iraq and with the forces of the government of Bashar al-Assad in Syria.
