Turkey supplies to Dagestan, a mainly non – food products- furniture, carpets, clothing, said the representative of the regional Ministry of industry, trade and investment.
MAKHACHKALA, December 1. Gulya Aliyeva. The trade turnover of Dagestan with Turkey in 2015 increased compared with the previous year by almost 1% to $ 30 million, the authorities of region consider that problems with substitution of Turkish goods in the market of the Republic does not arise.
The decree of the Cabinet on 30 November approved the list of agricultural products, raw materials and food, country origin is Turkey, and prohibited from 1 January 2016 to be imported into Russia. The list of agricultural products, the import of which will be banned from Turkey as of 1 January, 17 positions.
“The specific weight of trade turnover with Turkey in 2014 was 4.6%. In 2015 there is an increase of trading operations with their Turkish counterparts to 5.4% (about 30 million dollars),” — said Tuesday the representative of the regional Ministry of industry, trade and investment.
He noted that Turkey is a supplier of mainly non-food items, imported furniture (over 2.6 million), confectionery products (over 3 million), carpets (1 million dollars), clothing (more than $ 1 million) also in excess of 1 million dollars of imported plastic products and ferrous metals. The import of goods from Turkey in the total turnover amounted to 22.8 million dollars.
“Turkish goods can be replaced by goods from other countries. Textiles from Italy, China, Byelorussia, including Russian production. Food — from Iran, Kazakhstan, Azerbaijan and other countries”, — said the Agency interlocutor.
