VLADIVOSTOK, 2 Dec. The Governor of Primorsky Krai Vladimir Miklushevsky appealed to the Russian government’s initiative to suspend for one year the decision about charging to drivers of heavy vehicles, according to the administration of the province.

“In a letter addressed to the Deputy Chairman of the RF government Arkady Dvorkovich, the head of the region indicated that the introduction of a rule of damages that cause the heavy trucks to the roads of Federal importance, has caused tensions among coastal drivers. Carriers complained that they were not issued by a single vehicle unit, which would implement the decision”, — stated in the message.
In addition, drivers are still not able to register in the electronic system “Platon”. There was, however, enacted a new article of the administrative offences Code of the Russian Federation, which envisages penalty sanctions for legal persons up to 1 million rubles.
“Please consider the possibility to provide for a test period of use of the tolling system for a period of one year with the application rate of 0.1 rouble. To reduce transport costs of economic entities operating in the far East, to establish the preferential rate of no more than 1 ruble per kilometer. And to take the initiative to impose a moratorium on the article providing for the imposition of penalties, for the term of the trial period”, was in circulation Miklushevsky.
