Putin: gas from the Caucasus will go to the Crimea in 2017


Opportunities for supplying natural gas from the Caucasus to the Crimea will be created in 2017, said the President of Russia Vladimir Putin.

SIMFEROPOL/MOSCOW, 2 Dec. Russian energy sector in 2017 will create opportunities for natural gas supply from the territory of the black sea coast of the Russian Federation in the Crimea, said the President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin.

Thus, conditions will be created to provide gas to private power generation on the Peninsula.

“Need to be in the shortest possible time to add a generation. In 2017 we will deliver gas from the Caucasus, and by this time, at the end of 2017, to be built thermal power plant, which will provide another 470 megawatts,” — said Putin.

He noted that 2018 will be entered two more block 470 megawatts.

On Wednesday, Putin participated in the opening ceremony of the first phase of the power bridge from the Kuban to the Crimea.
