MOSCOW, December 3. The Russian military operation in Syria is, first and foremost, protect Russian interests, said President Vladimir Putin.
“This is direct work on protection of interests of Russia”
“I want to thank you for the work you are doing in Syria. Must tell you that, and you know it well, I many times spoke publicly – it does not just help the Syrian people and the Syrian leadership, it is a direct effort to protect the interests of Russia, our citizens. You yourself know that should know this,” Putin said at the presentation of state awards of the Russian military.
