MOSCOW, December 5. The foreign Ministers of Russia and Egypt, Sergei Lavrov and Sameh shoukry in a telephone conversation discussed the objectives of unification of the Syrian opposition that rejects terrorism.

“The problem of coordination of the Russian-Egyptian effort in promoting the unification of Syrian opposition forces that reject terrorism, for the early establishment of an inter-Syrian dialogue, as foreseen in the Geneva communiqué of 2012”, – have informed in the Russian depodesta on the results of the conversation.
“Emphasized the General opinion on the importance of ensuring, under the leadership of the special envoy of the UN Secretary General on Syria Staffan de Mistura’s most representative opposition delegation, including participants in earlier meetings of opposition in Moscow and Cairo, for talks with the Syrian government,” – said the Russian foreign Ministry.
The Ministers confirmed the intention of Russia and Egypt “to continue active work within the International support group in Syria for the implementation of the already achieved agreements in Vienna, including on developing a consolidated list of currently active SAR of terrapieno”.
Shoukry and Lavrov had also discussed “some current issues of further strengthening multidimensional cooperation between Moscow and Cairo”.
