MOSCOW, 4 Dec. The government submitted to the state Duma a draft law aimed at improving the registration procedures for media: paper, in particular, broadens the range of persons who cannot be founders of media.
The list includes, including, citizens, having removed from or outstanding convictions for crimes against constitutional order and security.
The amendments were made to the law “On mass media”.
The conceptual framework defined by article 2 of the law on mass media, complemented by the concept of “registering body”.
According to the bill, in the list of persons who cannot be founders of media, include citizens, having removed from or outstanding convictions for crimes against constitutional order and state security or for committing a grave or especially grave crimes connected with violation of the Russian legislation on mass media and on combating extremist activity.
