This opinion was expressed in an interview with correspondent. Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic Ruslan Balbec, in charge of international relations.

“This information doesn designed for external consumption, is a kind of bogeyman for the West to create a negative image of the Russian Crimea and sow on the Peninsula discontent of the Crimean people on a national basis”, he said.

The Balbec emphasized that to comment on the statement by Poroshenko is not serious. “This is another nonsense, which is nothing but laughter from the Crimeans who are now United as never before, can not cause”, – said Deputy Prime Minister.

According to the statement Poroshenko, which was circulated by his press service, the Russian authorities decided to settle in the Crimea by immigrants from Siberia and to exert pressure on the Crimean Tatars.

“It is puzzling how a politician of such high rank, he allows himself to stoop to such Frank information stuffing”, – commented on this statement, the Balbec.

The reunification of the Crimea with Russia

The authorities of Crimea and Sevastopol March 16, 2014 held a referendum on reunification with Russia. It was attended by more than 80% of eligible voters. For the reunification with Russia voted and 96,7 95,6%, respectively. 18 March of the same year, Vladimir Putin signed a Treaty accepting the Republic of Crimea and Sevastopol into the Russian Federation and on March 21 it was ratified by the Federal Assembly.

Despite the compelling results of the referendum, Kiev refused to recognize the Crimea a part of Russia.
