Rogozin in St. Petersburg will hold a meeting of the state Commission on development of the Arctic


ST. PETERSBURG, 7 December. Deputy Prime Minister Dmitry Rogozin will hold in St. Petersburg visiting session of the state Commission for the development of the Arctic. As reported in the Secretariat of Deputy Prime Minister, the Cabinet is expected to discuss the implementation of the development Strategy of the Arctic zone of the Russian Federation and national security up to 2020. Also on the agenda and the question of the implementation of orders of President Vladimir Putin on implementing the state policy of Russia in the Arctic.

Rogozin: all NATO countries may attempt to ensure the military presence in the Arctic

The meeting will be attended by the heads of Federal Executive authorities, heads of Arctic subjects of the Russian Federation, representatives of business and scientific organizations. Are expected reports of the Ministry of economic development, Ministry of transport, Ministry of environment and the Ministry of energy.

A visiting session of the state Commission on development of the Arctic will be held in the framework of the fifth International forum “the Arctic: present and future”. The meeting of the state Commission will be held in conjunction with the Marine Board under the government of the Russian Federation.
