Comprehensive development of the Northern sea route guarantees a safe and all-season moves of their own and partner goods, regardless of the foreign policy situation, said Vice-Premier of Russia Dmitry Rogozin.
St. PETERSBURG, 7 Dec. Russia has invited the Chinese partners to participate in the creation of Railways for transportation of cargoes to the ports of the Northern sea route, said Russian Deputy Prime Minister Dmitry Rogozin, speaking at the V international forum “Arctic: present and future”.
“We proposed them to participate in such projects of the Railways for transportation of cargoes to the ports of the Northern sea route. Actually now you can say that will not just be economic “silk road”, and a cool, cool “silk road”. Think he is soon to be filled with real content,” he said.
Rogozin noted that the comprehensive development of the Northern sea route guarantees a “safe and all-season moves of their own and partner goods, regardless of the foreign policy situation”. The Northern sea route should become a bridge between Europe and the Asia-Pacific region.
“It is important that we have the structures and authorities responsible for SMEs, and our administration of the Northern sea route were not just stating that some governments, but they must be the generators of ideas, they should develop offers on creation of the technologies which will allow to make the Northern sea route year-round and all-season. We have all the technological opportunities,” he said.
Rogozin also noted that Russia, thanks to SMP has “enormous potential and huge advantages.”
