Lavrov and Kerry reaffirmed the importance of consensus in the International support group Syria


MOSCOW, December 14. The Minister of foreign Affairs of Russia Sergey Lavrov and U.S. Secretary of state John Kerry confirmed in a telephone conversation, to convene a meeting on Syria, it is necessary to check the lists of the opposition and terrorists. This was stated on Monday the Russian foreign Ministry.

“The sides confirmed that, for the convening of a new meeting of the International support group Syria (MGPS) necessary to enforce its decisions of 14 November, providing for the preparation of a special envoy of the UN Secretary-General Staffan de Mistura proposals on the composition of the delegation of the Syrian opposition for talks with the Syrian government, as well as the approval of the list of terrorist groups, against which should fight together, – said the Ministry. – Also confirmed the importance of the principle of consensus in MGPS and participation in meetings of all its members”.
