The implementation of the Minsk agreements interfere with Ukraine, not Russia, the sanctions against which Merkel considers fair, said Alexei Pushkov.
MOSCOW, 14 Dec –. The Chairman of the international Affairs Committee of the State Duma Alexei Pushkov advised the German Chancellor Angela Merkel to impose sanctions against Ukraine, since Kiev is blocking the implementation of the Minsk agreements. About this politician wrote in his Twitter account.
If Merkel wants to implement the Minsk agreements, it should impose sanctions. Kiev, not Russia. It blocks their execution.

So Pushkov commented on the words of Merkel that the introduction of anti-Russian sanctions was the right one.
The Ukrainian authorities in April last year launched a military operation against the self-proclaimed LNR and DND. According to the United Nations, victims of the conflict began more than 8 thousand people. The settlement of the situation in the Donbass is discussed including during meetings in Minsk of the contact group, which since last September has already received three documents governing the steps to de-escalate the conflict.
From 1 September in the Donbass entered into force another truce. At the end of September an agreement was signed on the withdrawal of weapons with a caliber less than 100 mm and tanks from the frontline. This process ended on 12 November.
