MOSCOW, December 14. The defense Ministry is ready to cooperate with all States on the issue of Syria, said the chief of the Russian General staff Valery Gerasimov at a briefing for foreign military attachés.
“We want to establish contacts on the Syrian issue with any States,” he said.

The General reminded that in recent history there are examples of such cooperation between the West and Russia. “This is a joint activity during the operation of the international security assistance force in Afghanistan, a solution to the problem of Syrian chemical weapons, breakthrough talks on Iran’s nuclear program, the signing and implementation of the Minsk agreements, the fight against piracy off the horn of Africa,” – said Gerasimov.
