Vimpelcom ADS removed from NASDAQ-100 annual review


Moscow. December 14. American Depositary shares (ADS) of Vimpelcom excluded from the NASDAQ-100 index (NDX) as part of the annual review, said the analyst of “VTB Capital” Ilya St. Petersburg.

According to estimates St. Petersburg, the outflow from Vimpelcom ADS by passive funds as a result of the exclusion of these securities from this index, NDX will be about $46 million.

The results of the annual rebalancing NDX will take effect after the close of trading on December 18.

NASDAQ-100 includes the 100 largest by market capitalization non-financial sector companies listed on the NASDAQ. In this index Vimpelcom ADS were included in October 2013 after trading of these securities was transferred from the NYSE to NASDAQ.
