“Neftegaz-2016” has attracted interest from U.S. oil and gas traders, investors, managers of energy companies. The exhibition will be held from 18-21 April in the Russian capital.

The delegation of businessmen from the U.S. intends to participate in the largest energy trade show in Russia — “Naftogaz-2016”, which will be held April 18-21 in the Russian capital, said on Monday the President of the Russian-American chamber of Commerce in the USA (RATP) Sergei Millian.
“We have signed an agreement on continuation of cooperation with National oil and gas forum, which hosts this exhibition in April next year,” he said.
According to him, RATP will involve in it the delegation of the American oil and gas traders, investors, managers of energy companies. As noted by the Millian, “there are already several companies, representatives of which are ready to fly to Moscow”. In particular, according to him, it is one of the largest hedge-funds.
Chapter RATP acknowledged that “we have to work within the framework of the introduced against Russia sanctions are not going to break them and will comply with all necessary requirements”.
“But, nevertheless, we consider important the development of cooperation in the areas that are open. Businessmen in the U.S. understand this,” he said.
RATP is a non-governmental organization. It includes about 200 companies that operate in the USA and in Russia.
Relations between Russia and the West deteriorated in connection with the situation in Ukraine. At the end of July 2014, the EU and the USA from the point of sanctions against certain individuals and companies have moved to measures against entire sectors of the Russian economy. In response, Russia has restricted food imports from countries that have imposed sanctions against her.
