SEVASTOPOL, December 16. /Corr. Janina Vaskovsky/. Any attempt to threaten the economic interests of Russia in the Black sea will not go unpunished. This was stated by the Governor of Sevastopol Sergey meniailo, commenting on the incident with Ukrainian military vehicles in rigs “Chernomorneftegaz”.

The Governor added that in case of aggravation of the situation to strengthen patrol vehicle of the border will come the ships of the black sea fleet.
On Tuesday, the border guard service was forced to send the watchman “Amethyst” for the protection of platforms Chernomorneftegaz from military ships of Ukraine, who showed keen interest in the work of the Russian company in the Black sea. In particular, the Ukrainian military tried to request information on the number of people on the platform of the Odessa field, photographed and filmed on video equipment.

The head of the Crimea Sergey Aksenov said that he sees no threat from the Ukrainian side for drilling platforms “Chernomorneftegaz”.

“Russia’s military power to threaten anybody. Well, we passed these ships, tomorrow someone else will be. We generally do not respond. No threat I personally do not see. Well, who can threaten Russia? Especially Ukraine, do not tell me,” he said.
The speaker of the state Council of Crimea Vladimir Konstantinov, in turn, said that the danger of actions of Ukraine, the ships of which were observed around drilling platforms “Chernomorneftegaz”, should not be underestimated.
“The Ukrainian government is very serious extremist. While they are in power, they can be expected anything, we are constantly talking about it. People who with guns seized power, they have a completely different mindset,” said Konstantinov.

The hydrocarbon fields on the shelf of the Black sea became Russian after Crimea rejoined the Russian Federation following a referendum in March 2014.

Currently “Chernomorneftegaz” continues its work in normal mode at the Odessa field, gas is supplied to the Crimea.
