Moscow. December 17. Additional tax burden on the oil and gas industry must be limited in time, said the President of Russia Vladimir Putin at a press conference.
“There are decisions related to taxation. I know that the oilers are not all happy. In the framework of the tax maneuver they had been promised that there will be increase in the severance tax, but will be reduced customs duty on crude oil. But this did not happen. The mining tax raised on the oil and gas, the fee is not reduced. The main thing is that it didn’t last forever,” he said.
“The government should look very carefully at what is happening in the industry, not to eat the chicken that lays the Golden eggs”, he said.
Earlier it was reported that the volume of withdrawals by the mineral extraction tax on gas in 2016 will amount to 100 billion rubles.
