MOSCOW, 19 Dec. The first and second leaders of the Russian liberal party “Yabloko” Grigory Yavlinsky and Sergei Mitrokhin will participate in elections on a post of the Chairman of the party “Yabloko”.
Earlier Saturday, the Congress limited the stay of Chairman of the party on a post to two terms, this restriction is introduced for the first time in the political history of Russia. Congress adopted the amendment in the party Charter, limiting the tenure of the Chairman “the Apple” on a post of eight years, i.e. two terms.
Mitrokhin took over as Chairman in 2008, Previous, first Chairman of the party Grigory Yavlinsky headed it for 15 years.
