Chamber of accounts: public debt of regions of North Caucasus Federal district grew to 67 billion rubles in 2015


State guarantees and securities in the structure of state debt of subjects of the North Caucasus Federal district does not exceed 8%, said the auditor of the accounts chamber of the Russian Federation Yury Roslyak.

PYATIGORSK, 22 Dec –, Margarita Savelyev. Public debt of subjects of the North Caucasus Federal district on November 1, 2015 increased 24% to 67 billion rubles, said the auditor of the accounts chamber of the Russian Federation Yury Roslyak at a “government hour” in the Duma.

“On November 1, 2015 the total debt of the regions of the North Caucasus increased by 24% and amounted to 67 billion rubles under the state guarantees and securities in the structure of public debt not exceed 8%,” — said Roslyak.

According to him, the average debt of regions is more than 80% of total own revenues, the debt load over 100% off the North Ossetia, Ingushetia, the Karachay-Cherkess Republic.

The North Caucasus is a special ‘highly subsidized’ region of high unemployment and the smallest salaries in the Russian Federation.
