MOSCOW, 23 December, the Bank of Russia in 2018 will issue a commemorative banknote dedicated to the world Cup, which will be held in Russia this year. This was announced by Director of Department of the Central Bank of the Russian Federation cash currency circulation Alexander Yurov at the presentation of a commemorative banknotes, dedicated to the return to Russia of the Crimea and Sevastopol.

“Our next commemorative banknote in 2018, it will focus on the world championship on football which will pass in Russia”, – said Yurov.
He added that while it is planned that the denomination of the banknote will be the same as other commemorative banknote of 100 rubles.
Yurov also reminded that the previous commemorative banknote dedicated to the Olympic games in Sochi went into circulation in 2014.
The world Cup will be held from 14 June to 15 July 2018 12 stadiums in 11 Russian cities: Moscow, St. Petersburg, Samara, Nizhny Novgorod, Kazan, Sochi, Rostov-on-don, Saransk, Volgograd, Kaliningrad and Yekaterinburg.
