MOSCOW, December 23. Company “Sberbank Insurance”, part of the Sberbank Group, will continue cooperation with Western business and reinsurance partners, and after the company’s inclusion in the sanctions list.

Clients of “Sberbank Insurance” do not depend on the sanctions imposed by the US against the company. The sanctions involve a ban on lending in the United States or residents of the United States, which the company and were not performed with the insurance activities related sanctions, – stated in the message.
About U.S. sanctions
On December 22, the U.S. Treasury announced that several subsidiaries of the largest Russian banks – Sberbank and VTB – were included in the updated sanctions lists of the USA. Also in the sanctions list were included, in particular, Mosoblbank, Novikombank and “Yandex.Money.”

Sanctions did not affect the interaction of the Russian system of emergency response in case of accidents “ERA-GLONASS” and its European counterpart eCall, told reporters today the President of joint-stock company “GLONASS” Andrey Nedosekov.
“Our borders are not closed, cars moved. No matter what sanctions, the price of human life is not reduced, the task to rescue people involved in an accident not just depends on what is the relationship between a state,” he said.
According to him, representatives of the company “GLONASS” participate in the meetings of the authorities of different levels, and at any such meetings, the issue of suspension of the cooperation with eCall was not raised. “Not even a hint that this work should be done,” Nedosekov said.
Commercial operation “ERA-GLONASS” began on 1 January 2015. The main objective of the new system is to reduce delivery time data about the accident to emergency services. According to experts, the system will allow to save annually about 4 thousand people at the expense of reducing the response time to the accident. As previously reported, the 2016 JSC “GLONASS” will be the system operator.
