The export of electricity from the power grid, according to forecasts, can grow in 1.7 times, the imports is expected to be 1.6 times more than the year before.
MOSCOW, 24 Dec. Electricity consumption in Russia in 2015 could be reduced by 0.1% to 1040,9 billion kW.h, according to the presentation of the Ministry of energy with reference to preliminary data of the Ministry.
Electricity production for the year is expected to be 0.4 percent higher than in 2014 — 1051,9 billion kW.h. The export of electricity from the Unified energy system (UES) of the country could grow by 1.7 times and draw up to 25.5 billion kWh.h. Imports in the EEC is projected at 1.6 times higher than a year earlier, to 14.6 billion kWh.h.
The volume of commissioning of new generating capacity may be of 4.33 GW to 7.6 GW in 2014. The energy Ministry expects investment in the development of generation and grid in 2015 will decrease by 4.6% compared to the 2014 year and will be 781,7 billion.
