Duma elections held on 18 September 2016. Chairman of the legislative Assembly of Sevastopol Alexey Chaly is not going to participate in the election because he was not interested in the position of the Federal policy.
SEVASTOPOL, 25 Dec. Chairman of the legislative Assembly of Sevastopol Alexey Chaly, which has among the townspeople consistently high ratings does not consider the possibility of their participation in the upcoming elections to the State Duma of Russia.
Duma elections will be held under a mixed system-18 September 2016. Will be created 225 single-member districts, the other 225 deputies will be selected by the Federal party lists. Today in Russia is registered more than 70 parties.
“No,” said Chaly in interview, answering the question whether there is a desire to try the forces on elections in the state Duma.
He stressed that he was not interested in the position of the Federal policy, especially the Deputy of the state Duma.
“When you’re one of the hundreds of others, there is no real possibility independently to form a specific agenda and to demand its fulfilment even for the constituent that you represent. I used to set specific targets and work on achieving them. So my horizons are limited to the region”, — said Chaly.
