KYIV, 25 Dec. The group of companies of the Ukrainian oligarch Dmitry Firtash Ostchem has fully repaid the debts to Naftogaz for gas in the amount of 3 billion UAH (about $ 130 million), said Prime Minister of Ukraine Arseniy Yatsenyuk at the Cabinet meeting on Friday evening.
“Since 2010, before NAK “Naftogaz” company Ostchem had a debt of 3 billion USD, the Ministry of internal Affairs case was opened, arrested the assets of the company, and as a result of this case, “Naftogaz” has received the full amount of the debt from the company Ostchem Firtash”, — said the Prime Minister.
The NJSC “Naftogaz of Ukraine” and Ostchem group of companies have signed global agreements — the parties agreed on repayment of loans transfer of “Naftogaz” until February next year. Ostchem until February must pay its debts to “Naftogaz”, which make up about $ 137 million.
