MOSCOW, December 28. The Russian foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov asked U.S. Secretary of state John Kerry to influence Kiev, that the Ukrainian authorities strictly adhered to Minsk agreements. This was reported in the Russian foreign Ministry on the results of telephone conversation of Ministers, held on the American initiative.

“To US Secretary of state was called upon to use American influence on Kiev to force it to strictly adhere to the undertaken obligations in respect of the full implementation of the agreed in Minsk “Complex measures”, – stated in the message of the guardian.
“The Minister drew attention to the shelling of the Ukrainian positions with OSCE observers and a film crew of VGTRK near the village of Kominternovo in the Donets basin, which threatens the breakdown of the Minsk agreements”, – said in depodesta.
THE MINSK AGREEMENT
On 12 February the negotiators of the contact group in Minsk signed the previously agreed with the heads of the participating countries “channel four” document, providing for a ceasefire in the Donbass February 15. The negotiations “Norman Quartet” consisting of the presidents of Russia, Ukraine and France, as well as the German Chancellor continued in Minsk in various formats (in the narrow format with participation of members of delegations) from the evening of 11 February, a total of about 16 hours.

Lavrov also reiterated Kerry on the need to abandon preconditions to create a United front against terrorist group “Islamic state” (banned in Russia).
“They discussed prospects for overcoming the crisis in Syria, including in the context of organized by the special envoy of the UN Secretary General Staffan de Mistura negotiations between representatives of the Syrian government and the opposition to achieve a political settlement, – said the Ministry. Lavrov also reiterated the need to abandon preconditions to create a unified front against ISIS and other terrorist groups”.
