IVAN. December 29. Chechen authorities intend in the case of transfer of the Republic company “Chechenneftekhimprom” to build an oil refinery in Grozny, said at a press conference the head of the region Ramzan Kadyrov.

“If we give “Chechenneftekhimprom” we plan to build a refinery, to involve investments. We are negotiating with Rosneft and think they will support us. In any case, we have investors who are willing to invest,” – said Kadyrov.
“Construction of the refinery will provide additional taxes, jobs, not to mention the development of the industry. For our region it will be a great success,” he said.
Previously, the newspaper “Kommersant” reported that Chechnya may soon get a “Chechenneftekhimprom”. Available publications was a letter of the head of Chechnya, Ramzan Kadyrov, dated 3 December, in which he asks to transfer the enterprise of the Republic. According to the newspaper, the President of Russia Vladimir Putin supported the proposal made by Kadyrov.
December 24, the President’s press Secretary Dmitry Peskov, commenting on recent media reports on this topic, noted that the issue of the transfer of the company “Chechenneftekhimprom” from the jurisdiction of the Agency under the control of the Chechen Republic will be discussed in the Russian government.

“This issue will be worked in government, so it is premature to put the question (the takeover),” – said the representative of the Kremlin.
