The gas company in Kamchatka has proposed to restructure the sector’s debt

“Gazprom Mezhregiongaz far East” unilaterally restricted the supply of gas for the debts of PJSC “Kamchatskenergo”, CHP-1 was transferred to the oil.

VLADIVOSTOK, 29 Dec –. The authorities of Kamchatka have offered to start negotiations on debt restructuring of the company “Kamchatskenergo”, which “Gazprom Mezhregiongaz far East” disconnected from gas CHP-1, according to the government of the province.

Kamchatka TPP-1 was transferred to the oil after the company “Gazprom Mezhregiongaz the far East” unilaterally restricted the supply of gas for the debts of PJSC “Kamchatskenergo”. The gas stopped flowing at TPP-1 on the evening of 28 December. “Kamchatskenergo” said that he owed the gas company 104 million roubles from-for debts of a number of electricity customers.

The issue of termination of gas supply to CHPP-1 was discussed at a meeting of the Commission on security of electricity supply in the government of Kamchatskiy Krai. As stated by the Deputy Chairman of the Kamchatka government Serey Pakhomov, “Kamchatskenergo” in the shortest possible time jointly with Gazprom needs to formulate proposals for the exit of the situation.

“You should sit down at the negotiating table and find a solution that satisfies both parties. The restriction of supply of gas on one of the two largest power facilities of the regional capital is not the answer. A possible solution to the problem – restructuring of existing debt,” — said Pakhomov.

He noted that in order to develop solutions on December 30 on the initiative of the governments of the region will be organized a video conference between Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky and Khabarovsk, which is located in the main office of LLC “Gazprom Mezhregiongaz far East”.
