Russia is ready to consider proposals of the Ukrainian side, if Kiev will change its position and will return to the discussion on the debt, said the head of the Finance Ministry, adding that this issue should be resolved within 2016о year.
MOSCOW, 30 Dec. The Russian Federation after December 31, will turn to arbitration under English law to return the debt of Ukraine at $ 3 billion, but is ready to discuss repayment, if such proposals will come from the Ukrainian side; the issue should be resolved in the next year, said Minister of Finance Anton Siluanov.
“If during this period (trials — ed.) our Ukrainian colleagues would change their position and will return to the discussion of the repayment of its debt — we will be ready to consider the proposals and being in litigation,” — said Siluanov in an interview vesti.ru.
“I think in the next year we have to make a decision,” he said in answer to the question of the possible duration of proceedings. “We have very high chances of winning this arbitration”, — the Minister added.
