At a meeting on the development of domestic tourism in Russia, the head of the Federal tourism Agency Oleg Safonov has proposed to consider the creation of state corporations in the field of tourism for the development of quality infrastructure in the country.
SOCHI, 5 Jan. Juliana Grebennikova. Russian President Dmitry Medvedev supported the idea of creation of state corporations for the establishment and modernization of tourist infrastructure in Russia.
The head of the Federal tourism Agency Oleg Safonov at a meeting on the development of domestic tourism in Russia held in Sochi, offered to consider the creation of state corporations in the field of tourism for the development of quality infrastructure in the country.
“It will allow on the principles of co-financing to provide subsidies to the regions and, prescribing sufficiently stringent requirements to the regions and co-financed, will qualitatively improve infrastructure fast enough,” said Safonov.
Discussing with the participants the proposal, Medvedev did not support the idea.
“To be honest, don’t like the idea of state corporations. I don’t like her either. So I this idea to support will not. Because we need normal private travel Agency rather than a government monsters that are impossible to understand, which includes different assets and that it is not clear who will be managed. I believe that in the case when the public Corporation need not, it is better not to do it”, — said Medvedev.
He recalled that those government corporations that are created temporarily, liquidated, including “Olympstroy”. “Ought to leave him, but we have left”.
