TOKYO, January 6. /Corr. Alex Sarachev/. The American company Apple will shorten the release of new iPhone models – the iPhone 6s and iPhone 6s Plus 30% in the first quarter of the current year (January-March) compared to the original production plan. On Wednesday reported the Japanese business newspaper Nikkei.
According to her, the American company planned to maintain production of the updated models at the level of their predecessors, the iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus. However, amid declining sales in retail chains around the world have accumulated too many of these smartphones. The reduction of the release of the 6s and 6s Plus, according to Apple, will sell off the previous model.
Nikkei notes that this decision will have a negative impact on Japanese and South Korean companies that supply components for Apple smartphones.
Amid reports on the reduction of production cost of Apple shares in the course of trading in new York fell by 2.8%.
