The possibility of calculation in national currencies depends on how will be formed of accumulation in Russia and Indonesia from the point of view of savings currencies for future payments for supplies, said the head of Minpromtorg Denis Manturov.
JAKARTA, 8 Jan. Russia and Indonesia can move to settlements in national currencies, provided a large volume of counter deliveries, this opinion was expressed by Minister of industry and trade of the Russian Federation Denis Manturov.
“Such an opportunity (of calculation in national currencies) and in practical terms depends on how will be formed the accumulation of each country from the point of view of accumulation of local currencies for future payments for the supply of goods. It’s always the main subject of negotiations — if there is a large volume of counter deliveries, the currency, which will focus in local banks, can then be used to pay for the goods”, — explained the Minister in an interview with reporters.
“As soon as I work out this larger counter trading volume, there is a possibility of using local currencies. Today, though the volume is decent enough, but it is fragmented — required batch transactions that were economically advantageous to use local currency,” he added.
