JAKARTA, 8 Jan. Russia is considering the possibility of deliveries of MC-21 aircraft to Indonesia and want to establish industrial cooperation on this project between the two countries, told journalists the Minister of industry and trade of the Russian Federation Denis Manturov.
“In the future we consider the possibility of deliveries of MS-21 on the local market, but would like to find a technology partner for industrial cooperation to produce some parts of the MC-21 in Indonesia. This will give motivation to the Indonesian side for sales of Russian aircraft and will give us an alternative component suppliers, which at present we are going to buy from Western companies”, — explained the Minister.
The market volume for the MS-21 in Indonesia, according to Manturov, depends on whether the direction of industrial partners on the project — then the number of aircraft will be more because the local industry will participate in the project. It is expected the cooperation with Indonesian aircraft Corporation Dirgantara, he added. “If we talk about numbers, it is from 20 to 100 units in 10 years” — said the Minister demand of the Indonesian market in the Russian MS-21.
