MOSCOW, January 8. Moscow believes it is absurd and cynical attempt by the Prime Minister of Turkey Ahmet Davutoglu to pass on the Russian Federation responsible for the deaths of Syrian refugees near the coast of Turkey. This was stated by the official representative of the Russian foreign Ministry Maria Zakharova.
“Speaking on 6 January in Ankara, Ahmet Davutoglu not only once again accused our country in “aiding the Syrian regime”, but also cynically tried to shift mostly to Russia, and the UN Security Council, responsible for the deaths of sinking near Turkey’s shores Syrian refugees, stated the diplomat. – There is absolutely perverted logic that confuses cause and effect. Such absurd accusations – not that other, as the desire of Ankara to avoid direct responsibility for the deaths of these and many other Syrians”.
“We would like to remind that the current Turkish leadership’s policy of appeasement and complicity of various radical and terrorist groups in Syria to great extent has contributed and continues to contribute to the rampant violence and extremism on the verge of cave barbarism, – noted the official representative of the Russian dipvedomstva. – A consequence of the growing number of refugees, many of whom are not without covert encouragement of the Turkish authorities increasingly trying to seek a better life in Europe”.
“This circumstance, in fact, openly admitted in the European States, faced with a massive wave of migrants from the middle East, especially Syria,” – said Zakharov.
“So I would like to advise representatives of the Turkish leadership to be more responsible in their statements and do not seek the proverbial hand of Moscow”, – she declared.
