The Belarus authorities are holding talks with the IMF on the loan of 3 billion dollars for 10 years. The Belarusian side expects that the financing program will begin in the near future.
MINSK, 11 Jan. Nina Gurin. Belarus expects to start a new program with the International monetary Fund (IMF) in January-February, said on Monday first Deputy Prime Minister Vasily matyushevsky.
Belarus is negotiating with the IMF for a loan of 3 billion dollars under an extended financing to 2.28% for 10 years. Minsk expects in the first quarter of 2016 to complete the negotiations about the new program, which will be supported by the loan.
“I hope that in the near future will enter the program with the Fund in January or early February,” he said, summarizing his report to the President of the Republic Alexander Lukashenko. The words of Matusovskogo leads the state news Agency BelTA.
Matyushevsky said that recently in Belarus worked as a regular IMF mission. According to him, prepared a vision for the new extended Fund facility, there was one fundamental issue — the utility tariffs. At the moment it is almost complete.
