MOSCOW, 12 Jan. The Federal budget, if necessary, can be adjusted not earlier than the first half of 2016, believes the first Deputy head of budgetary Committee of Council of Federation Vladimir Petrov. The Senator had no information that the budget can be sequestered in the near future.
The newspaper “Vedomosti” wrote that the government is considering the possibility of sequestration of the Federal budget by 10%.
“I have no information,” said Petrov, answering the question on possible discussions in the government budget cuts.
“You need to see how the budget is being executed, it is still too early to think about it,” said the Senator.
“I think, before results for the first half of may to discuss the adjustment of the budget of the Russian Federation”, — he added.
Petrov recalled that Russia has the sources of financing the budget deficit, which can some time to adjust budgetary spending.
