Privatization will provide an opportunity to fundamentally change the situation with capitalization of the Russian banking sector, said Alexei Ulyukayev, speaking at the Gaidar forum.
MOSCOW, 13 Jan. The head of the Ministry of economic development Alexei Ulyukayev proposes to revisit the issue of privatization of the largest Russian banks — Sberbank and VTB, which will improve the situation with capitalization of the domestic banking system.
“I think we should return to the issue of privatization of the largest state-owned banks — Sberbank and VTB. Very high-quality assets that are attractive in the world”, — said Ulyukayev, speaking at the Gaidar forum.
He noted that this will fundamentally change the situation with capitalization of the Russian banking sector.
