Moscow. January 14. The Director of development of segment of virtual operators (MVNO) partnerships, and LLC “T2 RTC holding” (Tele2) from 11 January appointed Anatoly Smorgon.
Smorgon will lead the project office of the new business units of Tele2 and will be responsible for the creation and implementation of MVNO strategy and new partnerships with companies that are not related to the Telecom industry, the Tele2 letter to staff, seen by Interfax.
The official representative of Tele2, confirmed the appointment.
The formation of MVNO partnerships with the Telecom companies will continue to engage Anton Alabugin, head of the virtual operators. Currently at the final stage are the projects on creation of virtual operators “Rostelecom” and “AYR-a Telecom” reads the letter.
That “Rostelecom”, one of the shareholders of Tele2 close to the launch of the MVNO project, it was reported in December in the presentation of the state company to the investor Day in London. The company will create packages of mobile Tele2 tariffs and services of “Rostelecom”. By 2020 MVNO-the project will be able to collect up to 2.5 million subscribers, predicted “Rostelecom”.
About MVNO-project with “AYR-a Telecom” has not previously been reported. CEO Andrey Semerikov did not comment on this issue.
The representative of Tele2 declined to comment on future MVNO-projects.
Smorgon until may 2015 during the year he headed OOO “Skartel” (brand Yota, 100% owned by MegaFon). Under his leadership in August of last year, “Scartel” launched voice services on the model of MVNO on the network of the parent company.
Prior to Yota Smorgon 2013 was Director of sales and marketing at Rostelecom. Before his appointment at Rostelecom, he headed the Directorate of marketing of the Moscow region “Vympelcom”. From 2005 to 2007 he worked for Tele2 (the company was owned by Swedish shareholders) Manager on project management.
