MOSCOW, January 14. Russia will take measures in connection with anti West integration processes in the Eurasian region, told reporters Deputy Secretary of the Russian security Council Rashid Nurgaliyev. “The line West to counter the integration processes and the creation of hotbeds of tension in the Eurasian space has a negative impact on the realization of national interests of the Russian Federation, – he said. – And therefore provides suitable measures for the protection of national interests of Russia”.

Commenting on the new draft of the national security Strategy of the Russian Federation signed by Russian President Vladimir Putin in late 2015, Nurgaliyev stressed that the document refined the objectives in the area of cooperation of the Russian Federation with partners in the CSTO, the Eurasian economic Union. “Russia will continue the integration processes on space of States – participants of CIS within the CIS Organization of the collective security Treaty, Eurasian economic community, Union state of Russia and Belarus, – said Deputy Secretary of Russian security Council. – Of course, the interaction with these States on various aspects of regional and international security has a stabilizing the overall situation both in the States and regions bordering on them.”
Nurgaliyev added that Russia considers the CSTO as the main interstate instrument to confront regional challenges and threats. “In the framework of the CSTO attach great importance to further strengthen comprehensive measures to counter the ideology of international terrorism and religious extremism”, – he said.
