In SF want to create an international organization to combat terrorism

The attack on the hotel Splendid in the capital of Burkina Faso Ouagadougou, where I often stop to UN staff, has become a reminder of those calls that must meet mankind, the Senator said Franz Klintsevich.

MOSCOW, 16 Jan. In the Federation Council propose to establish a special international organization for the type of Interpol, which would unite the efforts of national intelligence agencies to combat terrorism.

The attack on the hotel Splendid in the capital of Burkina Faso Ouagadougou, which is still frequented by UN staff and tourists from Western countries, occurred Friday night when the hotel blew up two cars, then a group of armed unknown persons in masks attacked the building. According to recent reports, 27 people have died. Among the occupants of the building were the representatives of 18 countries.

“The attack on a hotel in the capital of Burkina Faso and the hostage-taking was yet another reminder of the challenges that must meet humanity. Scarcely a week goes by without reports of terrorist acts in different parts of the world, and they, too, are very anxious, are already perceived by many as something normal – as the rain autumn”, — told reporters on Saturday the first Deputy Chairman of the Federation Council Committee on defense and security Frants Klintsevich.

According to the Senator, it is impossible not to see that the threat of terrorism every year is growing. “We are dealing with a global threat – the victims of the attack in the capital of Burkina Faso resulted in 23 people from 18 countries, but fighting with her scattered forces, in fact each country separately”, — he stressed.

“Maybe we should think about creating a special international organization as Interpol, which would unite the efforts of national intelligence agencies of countries in the fight against terrorism. There are other possible forms of Association efforts. But I am absolutely convinced that the time for radical steps now,” said the Klintsevich.
