The government must make a decision about where to take money, not to increase the imbalance in the budget, and it is first and foremost about the package that needs to be sold a few years ago, said the Minister of Finance.
VLADIVOSTOK, 16 Jan. The government of the Russian Federation to replenish the budget revenue for 2016 shall consider first the privatization of 19.5% stake in Rosneft, said in an interview to the program “Vesti on Saturday” the Minister of Finance Anton Siluanov.
“We’re talking about a package that needs to be sold a few years ago. This is a package of “Rosneft” — 19,5. It is possible that it will be those credit institutions that you have mentioned (VTB and Sberbank),” said Siluanov.
The need to return to the issue on privatization of VTB and Sberbank previously stated the Minister of economic development Alexei Ulyukayev.
The Minister stressed that the authorities should establish a finances and budget for 2016 under the new realities and declining opportunities.
“Of course, the budget that was calculated based on $ 100 per barrel and the current situation, they should be different. Therefore, in order to increase fiscal imbalances, large deficits in order not to squander all our reserves… we now have to make a decision — how about where to get the money,” — said Siluanov.
According to him, it is not only privatization, but also on additional revenue mobilization through better administration, and certain changes in the expenditure budget.
“In the beginning of the year the first meeting of the government were on this subject. And a number of solutions have already been, about how to proceed in the changed conditions”, — added Siluanov.
